Forging production
Total manufacturing area of CHKPZ forge shops is 47 120 m2, number of employees around 600 people.
Production capacity is about 99.5 thousand ton of forgings a year.
CHKPZ has already taken into production around 1300 part numbers with weight range from 0.5 to 120 kg and is taking into production about 100 new part numbers annually.
All production processes on the plant are organized in accordance with TS 16949 requirements which ensure 100% traceability and quality control on all stages of production.
The company is bringing into effect wide-scale complex modernization of production which includes the main equipment as well as auxiliary equipment. CHKPZ is implementing such processes as SMED, lean manufacturing and Kaizen.
For the purpose of design and development, engineering analysis and production planning processes automation the plant is applying up-to-date software such as САD/CAM/CAE: Pro/Engineer, SuperForge.
In 2010 in cooperation with JSC “Kirov Works” CHKPZ has organized new forge shop in Saint-Petersburg. It allows broadening production range and increasing current orders volumes. New company was called “Russian Forging Plants”
