45 Kaizen teams were organized on Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant
Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant continues implementing lean production aimed at increase of industrial culture and quality of products. At the beginning of 2008 45 Kaizen teams were organized on Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant. They include more than 300 people - more than 9% of the total number of workers. Their main tasks are: implementation of 5S principles (5 steps to cleanliness and order), TPM (total productive maintenance) and SMED (single minute change of dies).
Together with team-work, lean production will be studied by management staff - shop management staff, supervisors, and heads of areas.
Theoretical courses will be followed by workshops. One of the requirements of the workshops is improvement of experimental objects to at least 10 points out of 50.
The work of the teams is guided by Brian Saylor and Jorge Luis Barron - representatives of North American department of Kaizen University.
