U-shape line is being created in the wheel shop

     The redesign of bead ring line is done as a part of implementation of lean production in line 9 of the wheel shop.
     This idea was suggested by the representatives of North American Kaizen Institute. The line should look like a U-shape cell which will allow the operators work on several machines simultaneously without unnecessary movements. According to preliminary calculations capability of the line will be two times higher. The line will produce one new part every 12 seconds and that will save up to 40% of production areas.
     The redesign will be done without stopping the line. The U-shape line will be started up in February, 2008.
