Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press celebrated its 66th anniversary

     On July 1st Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press celebrated its 66th anniversary.      The plant was formed on the basis of production capacities of evacuated ZIL plant. Currently CHKPZ is one of the leading manufacturers of forge and press products and wheels in the region. The plant produces 7 types of heavy-duty semi-trailers Hartung with load carrying capacity 26—60 tons and other machinery for construction, road building, transport and gas-and-oil industries. CHKPZ also has its own tooling production which sufficiently reduces the lead time of the products.      Management system is organized in accordance with lean manufacturing principles (Toyota production system). The plant has ISO 9001:2000 certificate and is preparing for obtaining ISO TS 16949:2002 certificate applied especially to quality management systems on automobile enterprises.      In 2007 CHKPZ was awarded the annual governor’s prize ”For high quality production and services, safeguarding and implementation of effective methods of quality management of production and services”.
